The pre-K students barely looked up when Lake Worth ISD’s superintendent entered their classroom in late February.
One child traced over letters already written on a board. Another sat on the floor fitting together pieces of plastic pipe. Across the room, teacher Karey Bennett worked with a small group while the other children moved independently between stations.
