Album features Rockford musicians, raises money for local nonprofit
ROCKFORD — Mike Parr has been a fixture in Rockford’s music scene for more than four decades.
He’s played bass or guitar for several local bands including Critical Condition, Riff Raff, Area 81 and the Tree Dogs.
“I got the itch to play music when I was 10, but I was an athlete, too,” said Parr, a West High School graduate. “Music was a hobby until I graduated from high school. That’s when I realized I wasn’t going to man the hot corner at Wrigley Field.”…
