EAST GREENBUSH, N.Y. (NEWS10) — An East Greenbush man has been arrested for possessing child exploitation material. 50-year-old Thomas H. Nastars was arrested on Wednesday for possessing a sexual performance by a child.

Nastars is accused of possessing images consistent with child sexual exploitation. His arrest followed an investigation and the execution of a search warrant at his home in East Greenbush on Wednesday. The investigation stemmed from a cyber tip from the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children (NCMEC).

The Troop G Computer Crimes Unit, Homeland Security Investigations and the Internet Crimes Against Children Taskforce assisted State Police of Schodack in the arrest. Nastars was sent to State Police Schodack where he was arrested and processed. He was issued an appearance ticket returnable to the East Greenbush Town Court on September 3 and released.
