Roth is the most famously known for being the author of the hit young adult dystopian series, “Divergent.” The original trilogy, made up of books “Divergent,” “Insurgent” and “Allegiant,” follows the journey of Tris Prior as she navigates a post-apocalyptic Chicago split into five personality-related factions.
Released in 2011, the trilogy quickly skyrocketed into a world sensation, garnering comparisons to other popular dystopian series like “The Hunger Games” and “The Maze Runner.” The books were later adapted into several films, starring Shailene Woodley, Theo James, Kate Winslet, Zoe Kravitz, Miles Teller and other big names.
Roth’s upcoming novel revisits the “Divergent” universe and its characters through an alternate telling of Tris’s story. The highly anticipated book is set to release on October 6.
