ALBANY, N.Y. (NEWS10)– A 17-year-old has been arrested in connection to a shooting that injured two people in Albany. According to Albany Police, the teenager was taken into custody Tuesday after a search warrant execution in Troy.

Police said the arrest stems from a July 6 shooting in the area of Hudson Avenue and Quail Street at around 2:30 a.m. A 19-year-old woman was reportedly shot in her foot and a 20-year-old man was reportedly shot in his calf.
During the investigation, authorities identifed the 17-year-old as a person involved. According to investigators, it’s alleged that the teen fired mulitple rounds toward a group of people.
According to the police department, with the assistance from Troy Police, crews executed a search warrant Tuesday at the teen’s home on 5th Avenue between 107 and 108 streets. During the search, police reported finding two illegal handguns.
The teenager was charged with:
- Two counts of second-degree Attempted Murder
- Second-degree Criminal Possession of a Weapon
- Fourth-degree Criminal Possession of Stolen Property (firearm)
Police said the minor was later arraigned in Albany County Family Court and later remanded to the Capital District Juvenile Secure Detention Facility…
