ROCKFORD, Ill. (WTVO) — Rockford leaders intend to launch a new summer tradition downtown this weekend with the RockYard Music Fest at Davis Park, marking the first major event at the park since a multi-year renovation effort began.
The free, two-day festival will take place Friday, August 14, and Saturday, August 15. Organizers say the event is part of both Rockford’s America 250 celebration and the community’s annual 815 Day festivities.
Among the featured performers are Trippin’ Billies, a Dave Matthews Band tribute act, on Friday night and One More Time, a Daft Punk tribute band, on Saturday. Festivalgoers can also expect appearances from local and regional musicians throughout the weekend.
