DEFREESTVILLE, NY (WRGB) — A multi-agency effort led to the rescue of an injured hiker in Defreestville.
Defreestville Fire Department was dispatched Saturday morning for a rescue call to assist an injured hiker on a local trail. With help from Rensselaer County Public Safety 911 dispatchers and a City of Rensselaer Fire Department drone team, crews were able to find the injured hiker and guide members of the Defreestville and Wynantskill fire department members to the hiker’s location.
Rescuers also had help from ATV 43 from West Sand Lake Fire Department, to get the hiker out of the woods and into the care of North Greenbush Ambulance Association…
