STEPHENTOWN, N.Y. (NEWS10) — Two people were injured — one seriously — following a crash in the town of Stephentown on Monday, according to New York State Police. The incident reportedly occurred on State Route 22.

State Police were dispatched to the scene just after 1 p.m. following a report of a vehicle off the roadway. According to an investigation, a van traveling northeast had failed to maintain its lane of travel, went off the road and hit multiple trees.
The Stephentown Volunteer Fire Department said the vehicle sustained heavy front-end damage. Authorities reportedly had to use the jaws of life to remove the driver from the van.
According to State Police, the driver was airlifted to Albany Medical Center with serious injuries. Another passenger was also reportedly taken to the hospital via ambulance…
