POLK COUNTY, Fla. (WFLA) — K-9 Ace was presented with a Commendation for Valor on Tuesday after he was shot in the line of duty.
Ace was critically injured earlier this month after a suspect, who investigators identified as Angel Bowers, fired at least four rounds at deputies who were attempting to arrest him for failing to appear in court.
