Over 50 grams of fentanyl found in Asheville drug trafficking probe

ASHEVILLE, N.C. (WSPA) — Three people have been charged after authorities located trafficking quantities of fentanyl and cocaine during a drug bust in East Asheville.

On Aug. 14, members of the Buncombe County Sheriff’s Office and Animal Crimes Unit executed a search warrant at the Dogwood Court Apartments following an extended investigation into a drug trafficking organization.

Deputies seized 50.6 grams of fentanyl, 30.1 grams of cocaine, items of drug paraphernalia and more than $16,000 during the search…
