Buncombe County has published 10 draft priority projects for public review as it develops a pedestrian plan for unincorporated areas. The county is asking residents to weigh in before feedback is used to shape a final plan by the end of 2026.
The plan is intended to guide decisions about sidewalks, crosswalks and other walking improvements in places outside Buncombe County’s municipalities. That focus gives residents of unincorporated communities a direct reason to examine which locations appear among the draft priorities.
