STILLMAN VALLEY, Ill. (WTVO) — The Stillman Fire Protection District has welcomed nine Stillman Valley High School students into its doors for an internship program this fall. The program offers high schoolers firsthand exposure to the fire service.
Audrey Fritz, a senior participating in the internship program, said the experience involves research alongside practical training and is inspiring her to pursue a career in fire and Emergency Medical Services.
“There’s definitely a lot of like research that is going to go into it, but it’s interesting topics. And then the more hands-on stuff I’m excited to do that,” Fritz said…
