HINDS COUNTY, Miss. (WJTV) – The Mississippi Highway Patrol (MHP) announced a pedestrian was killed after being hit by a tractor-trailer.
The incident occurred on Interstate 20 East near the 26-mile marker in Hinds County around 1:40 a.m. on September 23, 2026.
One dead, one critically injured in Lamar County crash
Troopers said a 2024 Volvo tractor-trailer was traveling eastbound on the interstate when it collided with Jimmy Anthony, 54, of Pearl. Anthony died at the scene.
