ALBUQUERQUE, N.M. – Albuquerque code teams found sewage backups, fire hazards and blocked exits at the Monte 44 Apartments after tenants pushed for inspections.
KOB 4 first reported the problems over the weekend after tenants complained about broken air conditioners, pest infestations, sewage and health concerns at the northeast Albuquerque complex.
Tenants formed a union and allowed code enforcement crews to enter the property and inspect the apartments. Officials revealed some of those findings…
