This fall, Paris fashion history is landing in Minneapolis.
Opening Oct. 4 at the Minneapolis Institute of Art and running until Jan. 17, Paris Couture traces more than a century of haute couture through the designers, garments, and craftsmanship that shaped the art form. The exhibition begins with the House of Worth and moves through the golden age of Paris couture, the postwar reign of names including Christian Dior, Yves Saint Laurent, and Cristóbal Balenciaga, and the late-20th-century revival that continues to influence fashion today.
Paris Couture builds on a 2013 show at Paris fashion museum Palais Galliera, which ended its story in the 1970s.
