Auburn Police Department’s newly created Tactical Patrol Unit (TPU) recently played a key role in rescuing a person who overdosed on prescription medication and fell down a steep embankment.
According to police, TPU officers responded to a medical emergency on Sept. 24 after receiving reports that a person had overdosed and fallen into a wooded area.
Officers equipped with specialized rescue gear entered the difficult terrain and located the patient. They stabilized the individual and remained with them until firefighters and medics arrived…
