MEMPHIS, Tenn. — The US Department of Justice has confirmed the arrests of two people for allegedly selling kratom and other illicit drugs are directly tied to the investigation into the death of a University of Mississippi student. On September 21st, Aidan Hamilton and Robert Strang were found dead at two separate locations with packaged kratom nearby.
Investigators said they were able to link some packages of kratom to Puffs Vape, Tobacco, and Beer, where Yahya Mohamed Mosleh, 51, and Islam Mohamed Mosleh, 18, were arrested.
The men are now facing federal charges of possession of a controlled substance with intent to distribute.
