SWAT arrest Rockford man suspected of selling machine gun conversion devices

ROCKFORD, Ill. (WTVO) — A Rockford man is accused of selling machine gun conversion devices and 3D-printed weapons parts out of his home. He was caught when Homeland Security agents at O’Hare intercepted two “switch” devices he had ordered.

The Illinois State Police reported that on February 23, officers with the State Line Area Narcotics Team were contacted by the U.S. Department of Homeland Security and told a package had been intercepted that contained two of the illegal devices, which convert a semi-automatic pistol into a fully automatic machine gun.

The package was addressed to a home in the 3900 block of Elva Lane in Rockford, but had been tagged for a pickup at a Machensey Park CVS Pharmacy…
