MAP: Heavy rains close more than 20 roads across north Bexar County

SAN ANTONIO — The wet weather has continued to start the work week, with Fiesta in full swing in San Antonio.

Heavy rain has led to flooding in low-lying parts of San Antonio roads Monday afternoon, resulting in water rescues for cars stuck in high water. The National Weather Service says a Flash Flood Warning for parts of Bexar, Comal and Guadalupe counties continues until at least 6 p.m.; the agency said life-threatening flash flooding was possible.

As much as three to five inches of rain could fall in the impacted area, NWS officials said. Organizers of the day’s biggest Fiesta event, the Cavaliers River Parade, say it’s still on track to begin at 7 p.m. but also that they were “monitoring the weather regularly.”…
