NORFOLK, Va. — Dominion Energy is moving forward with the next phase of its Strategic Underground Program, with crews now working in Norfolk’s Riverview neighborhood to install underground power lines.
Construction is underway along Lucile Avenue, where crews are installing new underground infrastructure. The project is expected to transition later this summer to the removal of existing overhead power lines. A spokesperson for Dominion Energy said the work is part of a broader effort to reduce outages, particularly those caused by falling trees and severe weather.
