Italian American documentary screening at Staten Island museum

STATEN ISLAND, N.Y. — The Garibaldi Meucci Museum will screen a documentary about Brooklyn resident Anthony “Tony” Gullo and his Italian American upbringing on Friday, May 9, from 2 p.m. to 4 p.m.

The film, titled “T.G.,” chronicles Gullo’s personal stories and memories of growing up Italian American in New York during the 1950s and 1960s. Now in his 80s, Gullo shares his daily routine and the philosophy that keeps him young at heart.

The documentary explores the Gullo family history, including earlier generations and their Italian heritage. New York City filmmaker Gregory Gullo directed the film as a tribute to his grandfather.
