The State of Washington is not what it used to be. It ranks last or near the bottom in many respects. I have always thought its finances were a little wobbly, and now we hear that S&P and Moody’s are looking into the numbers and not liking what they are finding. The State’s debt issuances might be downgraded or, at the very least, placed on CreditWatch for negative implications. This is an undesirable direction, but we must look to Olympia and the state government for the cause. We cannot continue down this path.
Two op-eds that appear in the April 29 edition of The Reflector, one by Ben Tindall and the other by John Ley, are well worth reading and should be read by every voter in the State. They cover the situation much better than I could.
I would ask voters whether they are happy with the condition of our State, and, if not, to make a move for change. Otherwise, we are in for some tough times ahead, and are already partially there.Sincerely,…
