Three Columbus repeat offenders arrested in Operation Take Back America

COLUMBUS, Ga. (WRBL) — Three repeat offenders from Columbus have been arrested on three separate investigations as part of the Operations Take Back America, according to the United States Department of Justice (DOT).

The three defendants, all with criminal histories, and their charges are listed below:

Travis Dwayne Broadnax (40)

  • Pleaded guilty to one count of possession of a firearm by a convicted felon on Feb. 4, 2026
  • Sentenced to 137 months in prison followed by three years of supervised release

Johnny Foster, III (47)

  • Pleaded guilty to one count of possession of a firearm by a convicted felon on Feb. 10, 2026
  • Sentenced to serve 87 months in prison to be followed by four years of supervised release

Clifford E. Thompson (59)

  • Pleaded guilty to one count of possession of a firearm by a convicted felon on Jan. 23, 2026
  • Sentenced to serve 188 months in prison to be followed by three years of supervised release
