LITTLE ROCK, Ark. (KAIT) – Several Northeast Arkansas fire departments will receive wildland fire suppression kits from the Arkansas Department of Agriculture.
The kits, which are valued at $4,850, include personal protective equipment, leaf blowers, backpack pumps and rakes.
“Our rural volunteer fire departments play an essential role in Arkansas’ wildfire response,” said Arkansas State Forester Kyle Cunningham. “These kits ensure that the firefighters who know their communities best have the tools they need to respond quickly and safely.
