Villager sentenced in attack on gal pal who refused to resume romantic relationship

An apparently obsessed Villager has been sentenced in an attack on her estranged gal pal who refused to resume their romantic relationship.

Julie Kay Greene, 64, has been placed on probation for two years on charges of stalking, battery and trespassing. She has also paid $2,433 in fines and court costs.

Greene was arrested in December, after she went to the woman’s home in the Village of Monarch Grove and attacked her. The woman had gone to great lengths to try end their relationship.

The two women began cozying up in 2022, but the other woman discovered that Greene became “controlling and manipulative.” The woman told Greene that she wanted to end their relationship because of her religion, according to a report from the Wildwood Police Department. The woman told police that Greene responded to the breakup by threatening to contact her family and friends and disclosing her sexual orientation. They continued an on-again off-again relationship, even as the woman continued to tried to distance herself from Greene. The woman indicated she felt she needed to “tolerate” Greene to keep her from revealing information about her sexual orientation…
