KANSAS CITY, Mo. (KCTV) – It’s a cooler, but comfortable start to your Monday morning. Most of us fell to the upper 50s and lower 60s early, but with strong sunshine, you will see those temperatures jump quickly.
Afternoon high temperatures are the warmest of the week with mid 80s across the board. Keep in mind, the UV index today is 9, which is very high, so burn times come in as soon as 20-25 minutes. It will definitely be a good pool/lake day, just don’t forget the sunscreen. Winds are out of the southeast from 5-15 mph.
NEXT FIRST WARNS: Tuesday looks dry and warm in the mid 80s, but starting Wednesday, our rain/thunderstorm chances begin to grow. Most of Wednesday looks dry, but by Wednesday evening, a few showers and storms could form after 6 PM. Currently, the latest data has the coverage pretty spotty, but a few storms could be noisy. Good news, we are not concerned about widespread severe storms at this point. Thursday looks like the wettest day with off-and-on rain and rumbles. There is a rather stationary boundary that sits overhead, helping to keep those chances throughout the day. Thinking Friday is a similar setup as well, just not looking quite as wet. When it’s all said and done, we could see up to an inch of rain by the end of the day Friday…
