A Boca Raton author and former Florida Atlantic University (FAU) administrator pleaded guilty last week to falsifying records to obtain $750,000 set aside for victims of Jeffrey Epstein’s far-reaching sex trafficking ring, according to the Associated Press (AP).
Formerly director of FAU’s Center for Autism and Related Disabilities (CARD), Jennifer Percival pleaded guilty last week in a New York courtroom the same day prosecutors charged her, according to AP. Prosecutors accused Percival of altering documents to fool JPMorgan Chase into giving her a portion of a $290 million settlement reserved for Epstein’s victims.
In a letter FAU provided to New Times (attached below), administrators appeared poised to fire Percival but instead accepted her resignation Thursday, as reported by FAU student paper University Press.
