Kent County Parks Department will celebrate the grand opening of Wahlfield Dog Park, the first park in the county’s system designed specifically for dogs and their owners.
The celebration is 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. Friday, July 24 at the park, 7117 M-37 in the Comstock Park area.
The festivities will begin with a ribbon-cutting ceremony featuring remarks from Kent County leaders, community partners and Fritz Wahlfield Jr., whose family donated the land more than 40 years ago…
