Man charged in beating of German Shepherd that left puppy blind in one eye

A York County man was charged with aggravated animal cruelty Tuesday after nearly beating German Shepherd “Chance” to death last year, authorities announced Thursday. Terrell D. Harris, 35, of York, was arrested Wednesday on charges of cruelty to animals and aggravated cruelty to animals after medical providers said the dog suffered bilateral jaw fractures, causing permanent blindness to his right eye and several teeth to fall out along with other severe injuries. The charges are a second-degree misdemeanor and a third-degree felony.
