Preparation work starts Friday on a bridge replacement project in Chanceford Township, York County. Tree trimming and clearing will mark the initial phase of the $1.1 million undertaking.
The Pennsylvania Department of Transportation said that crews will begin work May 1 on the Route 2048 bridge, which crosses the Bear Branch tributary to the North Branch of Muddy Creek. Work is scheduled between 7 a.m. and 4 p.m. and will continue through next week.
