Gunfire at a North Miami strip mall Friday evening left one person hospitalized and a busy stretch of Northwest 119th Street roped off with police tape, officials said.
Officers rushed to the area after a 911 caller reported that someone had been shot in the head. The victim was quickly taken to Jackson Memorial Hospital’s Ryder Trauma Center and was listed in stable condition, according to authorities.
According to WSVN, North Miami police remained at the scene Friday night as detectives worked the strip mall parking lot, searching for shell casings and other clues. As of late Friday, investigators had not released any information about suspects or the victim’s identity.
