Before Pennway Point — the long-ballyhooed, but barely started Westside entertainment district — went belly up in June, industrial buildings on the site had been slated to include bars and restaurants and to be surrounded by glowing historic signs as the home of the Lumi Neon Museum.
The new owner of the property at 2425 Jefferson Street., just north of the 150-foot Ferris wheel, is now looking to tear down four of those buildings.
City records show that Essential Properties Realty Trust, Inc. of Princeton, New Jersey is seeking to demolish the buildings and grade the land for development. Its plan, filed in August, is currently under city review.
