Good boy: Dog leads Leawood officer to stranded owner

LEAWOOD, Kan. (KCTV) – A loyal dog turns rescue guide after leading a police officer directly to an injured owner stranded inside a garage.

The late-night rescue began September 17 when a patrolling Leawood officer spotted a dog standing alone on a neighborhood road with its leash attached but no owner around.

Following the pup roughly half a block back to its house, the officer discovered an open garage door and the homeowner lying on the ground, unable to stand.

Police said the resident had been trapped there for more than three hours…
