KNOXVILLE, Tenn. (WATE) — Following the recent grand opening of the first restaurant outside Covenant Health Park, another local favorite is set to follow suit next week.
Soul food restaurant Jackie’s Dream will officially open its doors on June 8, making it the second eatery to call the stadium home and serve the public even when no events are happening at the venue.
First restaurant at Covenant Health Park celebrates grand opening
The 2,000-square-foot restaurant will be located two doors down from the team merchandise store at 498 E. Jackson Avenue. It could be one of the businesses to take advantage of the newly-created Designated Outdoor Refreshment Area around the stadium, which allows alcohol to be sold by approved vendors and taken outside.
Jackie’s Dream first opened in 2015 on McCalla Avenue and recently bid farewell to its storefront on Woodland Avenue after more than seven years there.
