LITTLE ROCK, Ark. – A recent scam targeting pet owners in emotional distress is making the rounds in Central Arkansas, according to officials with Little Rock Animal Services.
Scammers are reportedly calling people who have posted online about missing pets, claiming the animal has been found injured and is undergoing emergency surgery. The callers then say they need immediate payment for veterinary procedures.
