Man sentenced to 14 years for vehicular homicide of good Samaritan

MEMPHIS, Tenn. (WMC) – A man has been sentenced to serve 14 years in prison following a guilty plea regarding the vehicular homicide death of a good Samaritan, according to the Shelby County District Attorney’s Office.

Michael King has pleaded guilty to vehicular homicide by intoxication regarding an incident from May 28, 2023.

The DA said that King was travelling under the influence of alcohol and methamphetamine when he struck and killed Halie Jade Heron Ramirez as she was stopped to help people in another wrecked car…
