JONESBORO, Ark. (KAIT) – Arkansas Attorney General Tim Griffin announced Thursday a $5.5 million settlement with Family Dollar and Dollar Tree entities over consumer protection violations stemming from a rat-infested distribution center in West Memphis.
Under the terms of the settlement, Arkansas will receive $3.9 million. The remaining $1.6 million has been suspended because of Family Dollar’s cooperation with the U.S. Department of Justice in a related federal criminal case.
