A busy stretch of France Avenue in Edina’s main commercial district will be closed for three weeks as the city carries out sewer work.
The City of Edina announced that the closures will go in effect in both directions between West 69th Street – the northern boundary of The Galleria mall – and West 76th Street from Sept. 16.
The stretch includes the Galleria, Lunds & Byerlys, Whole Foods, Centennial Lakes Park, Centennial Shops, Pinstripes, and several other strip malls.
Crucially for the many businesses and residences along the stretch of road, the city says that drivers will still be able to use France Avenue to access the properties, but through traffic will be diverted via York Avenue…
