HORRY COUNTY, SC (WMBF) – The Horry County Sheriff’s Office is remembering a deputy who died after responding to a devastating fire more than a decade ago.
The sheriff’s office said Deputy Tim Causey responded on March 16, 2013, to the Windsor Green fire.
Causey worked tirelessly through the night of the fire and the days to follow, the sheriff’s office said.
While serving, Causey became ill and was later diagnosed with smoke inhalation and respiratory failure…
