New Orleans Police homicide detectives are investigating a fatal shooting in Gentilly.
Police say it was around 2 a.m. Saturday when officers were sent to investigate a call of a shooting in the 3400 block of St. Anthony Street.
“Upon arrival, officers located an unresponsive adult male victim inside of a pickup truck and having sustained multiple gunshot wounds,” said police in a statement.
Police say their investigation shows the actual shooting took place a few blocks around the corner, in the 2000 block of Lafreniere St.

Callers to Crimestoppers do not have to leave their names and may be eligible for a cash reward for information that leads to an arrest and indictment.
