Live Oak Brings Royal Heritage to Keeneland September

Charlotte Weber’s Live Oak Stud has dominated the racetrack for more than half a century. Founded near Ocala, Fla., in 1968, the farm has earned Weber five Florida Breeder of the Year honors presented by the Thoroughbred Owners and Breeders Association. Live Oak earned the title in 2017, 2019-2021, and 2025.

Weber’s 4,500-acre operation is home to more than 100 horses—including broodmares, foals, yearlings, horses in training, and retirees—and also includes a cattle division. Weber has always bred to race, campaigning many top horses such as 2006 champion turf male Miesque’s Approval and 2017 champion turf male World Approval , both out of Live Oak’s 2017 Broodmare of the Year Win Approval. Live Oak also bred and campaigned grade 1 winner Win Win Win , Florida’s leading first- and second-crop sire in 2024 and 2025, respectively.
