Rare disease could be a hidden cause for weight gain

PORTLAND, Ore. (KOIN) – For many people, obesity is often blamed on diet or lifestyle. For some, the cause is actually far more complex.

Doctors say hypothalamic obesity, or HO, is a rare disease caused by injury or trauma to the brain, resulting in controllable hunger and rapid weight gain.
