Vancouver residents push back against light rail as Northwest leaders back high-speed rail

Leaders at C-TRAN are pushing to preserve downtown Vancouver’s original light rail station as part of the Interstate Bridge Replacement Program project, despite criticism over the proposal’s potential cost.

The C-TRAN Board voted 7-2 this week to urge Interstate Bridge project leaders to include light rail service into Vancouver through an extension of MAX Yellow Line.
