Two men arrested with drugs and stolen gun during Rockford crime operation

ROCKFORD, Ill. (WTVO) — A “crime suppression” operation conducted by the Winnebago County Sheriff’s deputies over the weekend is credited with the apprehension of two armed drug suspects.

According to the sheriff’s office, the department conducted an operation on Friday, August 21, that included a traffic stop near Harrison Avenue and Sewell Street. Police said cannabis and two guns were found in the car.
