ROCKFORD, Ill. (WTVO) — Local aerospace advocates hosted an Airbus Supplier Day in Rockford, bringing together 150 local suppliers with representatives from the aircraft manufacturer. The gathering marked the Dutch company’s third Supplier Day event held in the United States.
Airbus designs and manufactures passenger jets, helicopters, military transports and other defense systems. Company executives noted that Rockford plays an important role in its operational success, with the city currently ranking as the sixth-largest aerospace hub in the United States.
