Move over Buc-ee’s — Oklahoma-founded Love’s travel stop is opening a fresh Texas location, and it’s sending out a clear message to professional truck drivers: you can park here.
According to an April 16 news release, Love’s newest travel stop will be located in San Antonio off exit 412 at 9530 Southton Road, ideally situated for travelers driving along Interstate 410. It’ll have 70 parking spaces specifically for trucks, and will “provide free parking for professional drivers, helping address the national truck parking shortage.”
The message is a far cry from Buc-ee’s “annoying” commercial truck rule, which prohibits 18-wheelers from entering the parking premises. Buc-ee’s doubled down on the rule in February, as the beaver-themed travel stop raised a bright yellow sign that said “NO COMMERCIAL TRAILERS” on the gas station’s grounds…
