Authorities have identified a man who drowned Tuesday morning in Salado Creek as first responders attempted to rescue him from a tree surrounded by floodwaters.
The Bexar County Medical Examiner ruled that Frank Lopez, 44, died in an accidental drowning. He is believed to have been homeless at the time of his death, said San Antonio Fire Department spokesperson Joseph Arrington.
