An ordinance giving the city new powers to deny, suspend or revoke a business license for a “problem” commercial enterprise was approved at Tuesday’s meeting of the Stanton City Council.
The vote was 5-0.
This measure, which will come back for final adoption at the Oct. 13 meeting, is intended to make it easier for the city to cope with “rogue” businesses which don’t follow city ordinances or state laws, that allow or create nuisances or outright harbor criminal enterprises…
