CHATHAM COUNTY, Ga. (WTOC) – A detective testified during a probable cause hearing that Victor Bernardo Salazar pointed a firearm at multiple people before it fired and allegedly killed Victor Garcia on Aug. 21st.
Salazar appeared remotely from the Chatham County Detention Center. He is represented by defense attorney Frank Pennington.
Detective describes response to the shooting
The detective testified that officers responded to an apartment at 1475 Benton Boulevard at the MAA Benton Apartments around 8:45 p.m. on Aug. 21st for a report of an injured person. Call notes indicated a shooting had occurred and that it was accidental, and that the person responsible remained on scene, the detective said.
