SAVANNAH, Ga. (WSAV) — The city of Savannah is working to preserve nine live oak trees at Grayson Stadium in Daffin Park after construction put the trees at risk, Savannah Mayor Van Johnson said Tuesday.
Johnson said there was a difference of opinion between the city of Savannah and Savannah Bananas over work that occurred around the stadium.
“For us, there was obviously a difference of opinion and understanding regarding the work that occurred around the stadium, what was authorized, and the impact that work may have on several live oaks, and so those questions will be addressed professionally and directly between the city and the Bananas,” said Johnson…
